Saalt Disc.
$35.00
A reusable menstrual disc made from medical-grade silicone, worn internally to collect menstrual flow. Comes with a carry bag, in Regular or Small.
SHIPS FROM UNITED STATES
WHY WE CARRY IT
A different shape, no suction.
A disc sits differently from a cup. Saalt says its disc doesn't rely on suction to seal and rests behind the pubic bone, below the cervix. Some people find that suits them better than a cup. It's made in the USA from medical-grade silicone, and Saalt is a certified B Corp that publishes its full instructions and warnings.
It isn't for every season. Saalt says the disc is not recommended during postpartum bleeding, so after a baby it belongs to the time when your cycle comes back.
Medical-grade silicone
Made from 100% medical-grade silicone, with no BPA or latex, per Saalt.
Made in the USA
Saalt states all its cups and discs are made in the USA.
Two sizes
Regular holds up to 50 ml and Small up to 30 ml, per Saalt.
Not for postpartum bleeding
Saalt: not recommended for use during postpartum bleeding.
Details, with care.
Before first use: boil the disc for 4 to 5 minutes, keeping it off the bottom of the pot, then wash it with a mild, pH-balanced cleanser and rinse well.
Inserting: with clean hands, pinch the disc into a figure-8 with the removal notch at one end, angle it toward your tailbone and slide it in, then push the front rim up behind the pubic bone. Saalt says it should sit below the cervix at a slight diagonal.
Wear: empty it at least every 12 hours.
Removing: hook a finger behind the notch or under the rim and pull gently down and out, keeping it upright. Saalt says not to pull only on the thin basin.
During your cycle: rinse in cold water, then wash with warm water and a mild, pH-balanced cleanser.
Between cycles: boil it as above, or wipe with 70% isopropyl alcohol and air dry. Store it dry in its breathable bag, never in plastic or an airtight container.
Replace it if it tears or the silicone deteriorates.
Fulfillment varies by product. Orders shipping from different locations may arrive separately, with separate tracking. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

A strong, well-sourced product that met our Standard in every meaningful way. Trusted products may have a small number of minor trade-offs that we've evaluated and are transparent about. They belong on this shelf.
Why we chose this product:
One material: 100% medical-grade silicone, made in the USA, and reusable for up to ten years with care, per Saalt. Saalt publishes full instructions and warnings for the disc in its leaflet, including toxic shock syndrome, IUDs and postnatal bleeding. Trusted rather than Hero Pick for now: Saalt's safety FAQ describes third-party cytotoxicity and skin-sensitization testing for its cups but doesn't say the same of the disc, doesn't publish results, and doesn't say who manufactures it. If Saalt shares any of that, we'll look again.
