WHY WE CARRY IT
A softer cup, for sensitive days.
This is Saalt's ultra-soft version of its menstrual cup. Saalt designed it for people with bladder sensitivity, cramping, or discomfort with firmer cups. Like the original, it's made in the USA from medical-grade silicone, and Saalt is a certified B Corp that publishes its full instructions and warnings.
It isn't for every season. Saalt doesn't recommend its cups during postnatal bleeding, so after a baby this belongs to the time when your cycle comes back, not the weeks straight after birth.
Medical-grade silicone
Made from 100% medical-grade silicone, with no BPA or latex, per Saalt.
Made in the USA
Saalt states the cup is made in the USA and FDA registered.
Ultra-soft silicone
Saalt's softer formula, for people who find firmer cups uncomfortable.
Not for postnatal bleeding
Saalt's cup instructions: not recommended for use during postnatal bleeding.
Details, with care.
Before first use: check that the air holes near the rim are open, then boil the cup for 4 to 5 minutes (no more than 7), using tongs so it doesn't touch the bottom of the pot.
Inserting: with clean hands, fold the cup, insert it rim-first angled toward your tailbone, and let it open. Saalt says it sits lower than a tampon. Rotate it gently to seal.
Wear: empty it at least every 12 hours.
Removing: pinch the base to break the seal rather than pulling the stem, then remove it upright and empty it.
During your cycle: rinse in cold water, then wash with hot water and a mild, fragrance-free wash such as Saalt Cup Wash.
Between cycles: boil for 4 to 5 minutes (no more than 7), or wipe with 70% isopropyl alcohol and air dry. Store it dry in its breathable bag, never in plastic or an airtight container.
Replace it if it tears or the silicone deteriorates.
Fulfillment varies by product. Orders shipping from different locations may arrive separately, with separate tracking. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

Our highest-confidence recommendation. This product cleared every dimension of the Standard, aligns closely with Mama Yola's mission, and is something we would personally hand to a mother we care about. Hero Picks are not common — they're earned.
Why we chose this product:
One material: 100% medical-grade silicone, made in the USA, and reusable for up to ten years with care, per Saalt. The cup is regulated by the FDA as a medical device, and Saalt says it is third-party tested for cytotoxicity and skin sensitization, with every cup inspected before it ships. Saalt also publishes its full instructions and warnings, including toxic shock syndrome, IUDs and postnatal bleeding, which not every brand in this category does. What isn't published: Saalt's test results, and the name of the company that manufactures its cups. Saalt is the registered company accountable for the device, so we treat that as an open question rather than a concern.
